Dodge Tomahawk is the world’s fastest motorcycle to date, with a highest speed of 420 miles per hour (mph) and a 2-speed manual transmission;it attains a speed of 60 mph from 0 in a fraction of 2.5 seconds.

This motorbike was introduced by Dodge in 2003 and gained press and industry attention due to its striking design, huge capacity 10-cylinder automobile engine, and its four wheels, yet giving it a motorbike look. Two front and two rear wheels are sprung independently, enabling it to lean into corners like other bikes. Each wheel on the bike contains an independent suspension that enables the rider to counter steer.

The central visual element of the Dodge Tomahawk is the 500 horsepower (HP) (370 kW), Dodge Viper’s 8.3 liters V10 SRT 10 engine. This maximum power is produced by the engine at 5600 rpm. The maximum torque of the engine is 712 Newton meter (Nm) at a rotation of 4200 rpm.

The bike contains dual 508 millimeters (mm) front brakes with 16 piston discs and a single 508 mm rear brake with 8 piston discs.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R is the world’s fastest production motorcycle to date, with a top speed of 249 mph and a 6-speed dog ring transmission.

This superbike was manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in 2015 and is being manufactured to date and thus falls into the class of track-only sports bike. It contains a supercharged (two speed centrifugal) 998 cc incline-4 DOHC engine that produces a power of 310 HP. This maximum power is produced by the engine at 14000 rpm. The maximum torque of the engine is 156 Nm at a rotation of 12500 rpm. The centrifugal supercharger is operated by a combination of gears and shafts and provides the benefit of generating less heat as compared to rest of the designs, especially screw type and scroll type superchargers.

The motorcycle contains world class KYB racing suspensions, one at the front and the other at the back. The front one is a 43 mm telescope fork, and the rear one is a single shock.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R contains dual 330 mm dual semi-floating, radial mount discs with 4 piston calipers at the front brakes and 250 mm single disc with opposed dual piston calipers at the rear brakes.

MTT Turbine Superbike, also known as Y2K Turbine Superbike, has a top speed of 227 mph and a 2-speed semi-automatic transmission.

This motorcycle was manufactured by Marine Turbine Technologies in 2000 and was manufactured till 2005. This beauty won the award of production motorcycle in Guinness Book of World Records because it wasn’t produced in series, rather were handmadeaccording to the buyer’s specifications.

It contains a Rolls Royce 250-C 18 turboshaft engine that produces a power of 320 HP. This maximum power is produced by the engine at 52000 rpm. The maximum torque of the engine is 576.5 Nm at a rotation of 2000 rpm. Unlike other jet powered vehicles that require jet propulsion for thrust, MTT Turbine’s turboshaft engine with the help of two-speed gearbox, a chain, and a sprocket drives the rear wheel.

The uniqueness of this superbike is that it does not require jet fuel to operate. Rather it is fueled with diesel, kerosene or Bio-fuel.

  3. I have to say I’m not a huge fan of motorcycles but I do love the looks of some of these. Way too fast and not as safe as a car for me though
